The companies CAE, Eurocopter, Rheinmetall Defence Electronics and Thales cooperate as partners of HFTS. They design, develop and produce the simulators.


CAE
The CAE Group is a globally leading provider in the simulation and modelling technology fields and possesses extensive experience with regard to developing, producing and maintaining simulation systems suitable for the training and the advanced training of civilian as well as military aircraft operators and technical flight personnel. In 2004 the company achieved an annual turnover of approximately 1 billion Canadian Dollars. It operates facilities and training centres in 17 countries on 5 continents.


Eurocopter
Eurocopter is a wholly owned subsidiary of EADS and the global leader in the helicopter market. In 2004, it held a market share of 45 percent and achieved a turnover of 2.8 billion Euro. Approximately 2,300 customers in 134 countries operate more than 9,100 Eurocopter helicopters. The products of the company range from single-engine light helicopters to transport helicopters of the 11 ton class. As such, Eurocopter manufactures one of the broadest ranges of civilian and military helicopters in the world.


Rheinmetall Defence Electronics
Rheinmetall Defence Electronics is a subsidiary of Rheinmetall AG and is one of the worlds technological leaders in the defence electronics field. Being one of the biggest manufacturers of simulation systems, the company covers the entire spectrum of navy, army, air force and civilian applications. Rheinmetall Defence Electronics is active in more than 30 countries around the world. In 2004, its 1,405 employees achieved a turnover of 357 million Euro.


Thales
Thales is an international electronics group and system provider in the defence, aviation and safety technology fields. The group employs a staff of approx. 60,000 in 50 countries. In 2004 it achieved a turnover of 10.3 billion Euro. Thales is one of the leading companies for developing complex simulation technology and training programs for the civilian and military sectors.
