Simulator-based training has been tested and proven at the German Armed Forces for initial training measures as well as repetitions of the training measures at regular intervals. It is clearly more economical than the use of real helicopters. In addition, it conserves material and protects the environment.

The targeted privatization program also enables the German Armed Forces to benefit from savings with regard to operating and financing costs. This is due to the fact that there is no need to acquire and maintain a complex infrastructure. The German Armed Forces pay for a comprehensive training and service offer. HFTS is responsible for realizing the performance and providing the required facilities.
